In a packed Great Yarmouth Minster this evening, the Archbishop of Canterbury is in conversation with Andrew Sinclair from BBC East. He is asked what he has seen during his visit to the east coast today that has particularly inspired him?
Archbishop Justin talked of his visit with schoolchildren:
“Looking at schools , which are seeing incredible social need and are responding to that need. What they are doing is utterly inspiring. The expression of the love of Christ, which tells us that the church is abounding in compassion and vigour as it reaches out through schools and other projects and activities.
“What has filled me with hope this visit is the grassroots where people have been touched by God and are serving their communities. Seeing God’s church doing God’s work in the name of Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
